FAQ

Questions answered
before you ask.

Everything you'd want to know about hosting, ownership, timelines, and how this works — answered plainly.

You do. Completely. The code is yours the moment I deliver it. I'll transfer the GitHub repository to your account and you can take it anywhere — a different host, a different developer, whatever you need. There's no platform lock-in and no subscription your site depends on. If we stop working together for any reason, you keep everything.
The Starter site is a single page — no database, no CMS, no build pipeline. Once you send me your photos, logo, and content, I build the page, push it to GitHub, and it's live. The bottleneck is usually waiting for assets, not building. If you send me everything at once, 48 hours is conservative. Multi-page Business and Flagship builds take about a week and two weeks respectively because more pages mean more decisions.
About $10/year. That's it. Hosting is on GitHub Pages — genuinely free, no catch. The only cost is your domain name — about $10/year through Cloudflare, sold at cost with no markup and no renewal hike (WHOIS privacy and DNSSEC included free). Flagship clients get the first year's domain included in the price. Compare that to Wix at $204/year, Squarespace at $192/year, or WordPress hosting at $100+/year — and those platforms charge you forever while you never own the code.
If you already have one, great — I'll connect it. If you don't, I'll help you register one (I'll recommend Cloudflare, about $10/year at cost) and handle the DNS configuration myself. You'll be live on your own domain, not a subdomain like mybiz.squarespace.com. Professional from day one.
Yes, if you know basic HTML — and I can teach you in about 20 minutes. Otherwise, that's exactly what the Care Plan and one-time edits are for. Most business owners find it easier to email me "update my hours" or "swap this photo" than to deal with a CMS. For $25, it's done same day without you touching a file.
You can. Wix runs ~$17/month ($204/year), scores 40–60 on PageSpeed, and you never own the code. A custom-coded Starter costs $200 once, scores 100/100 on PageSpeed, and loads in under a second. After year one, you're ahead financially. After year two, the gap is enormous. And you'll never be held hostage by a platform changing its pricing or shutting down.
I integrate third-party tools that do one job well — OpenTable or Resy for reservations, Square or Stripe for payments, Calendly for bookings. These embed cleanly without bloating the page. For a full e-commerce build, I'll tell you upfront if the scope is beyond what I offer — and point you toward the right solution. I don't take projects I can't deliver well.
For a Starter: your logo (or I'll create a simple wordmark), 3–5 photos, your services list, hours, address, and phone number. That's it. I write the copy, handle the design, and deploy the site. For Business and Flagship builds, we do a brief call first so I understand your customers and what action you want them to take. The whole intake process takes under 30 minutes.

Your competitors have websites.
Now you can too.

Starting at $200 — starter sites go live in as little as 48 hours, larger builds in a week or two. One flat price you know up front, no subscriptions, and you own every file. Let's make your business look as good online as it already is in person.
