For authors and writers

An author website
that sells the book and books the talk.

A publisher, a podcast host, or a parish event coordinator looks you up once. In that visit they need to find the book, a bio they can paste, a photo they can use, and a way to reach you. That is what an author site is for, and it is what I build.

What an author site needs

  • A book page for each title with cover, description, endorsements, and buy links to the publisher, Amazon, and your local Catholic bookstore.
  • A press kit page with short and long bios, downloadable headshots, sample interview questions, and a media inquiry form. This is the page that gets you booked.
  • Your writing in one place. Articles at the Register, Where Peter Is, Catholic Review, or your own blog, collected and searchable. Substack essays can be pulled in automatically.
  • Speaking page with topics, past venues, and a booking form.
  • Newsletter signup connected to Substack, Mailchimp, or whatever you already use.

Timing it to a launch

If you have a publication date, tell me on the call. A Starter Site can be live in about 48 hours for a pre-order page, and the full site follows. A complete author site with a large writing archive can go up in a matter of days once the material is in hand.

Why not a template

Author templates all look like author templates. A site designed around your book, its cover, its typography, and its subject reads as the work of a serious writer, and that is what a publisher or a conference organizer is judging in the first five seconds.

Most author sites are a Custom Website, $500 to $1,000. A Starter Site at $200 to $400 covers one book and a contact page. A large archive or a store puts it in the Full Build range, $1,000 to $2,500.

Yes, a press kit page is included in the Custom tier: bios, photos, endorsements, and an inquiry form, all on one page you can send to any producer or editor.
Yes. Migrations off Wix, Squarespace, WordPress, and Blogger are included at no extra charge. See the Wix and Squarespace page for how it works.

Your work deserves a site
that does it justice.

Most sites $500 to $2,500, starter sites from $200. You get an estimate before any work begins, no platform fees beyond your domain, and you own every file. Tell me what you do and I'll tell you what it would take.
